Besting Brass/Copper Fittings and Valves
Brass compression fittings, brass/copper solder ring fittings, brass/copper ends feed fittings and brass/copper push-fit fittings are manufactured to the highest possible quality in accordance with BS EN 1254(BS 864 Part 2). brass MI x FI fittings, brass flange and brass clips are manufactured to meet the BS143&1256,BS4504,PN16 and BS EN 1057 respectively, brass valves are manufactured according to BS 5154 and BS 1010.They are produced to cover the entire spectrum of standard range of fittings to meet the requirements of the plumbing industry.
Manufactured by hot forging process, brass fittings have gone through a systematic and rigorous quality control at every stage of production; fittings manufacturing process has been assessed and approved to ISO 9002.No effort is spared to ensure all brass and copper fittings supplied are of top quality and standard.
Brass compression fittings Type A have the joint made by the compression of a loose ring or sleeve on to the outside wall of the tube, Our comprehensive range of fittings from 15mm to 159mm is suitable for hot and cold water services and heating instillations. In Hong Kong, our fittings are used in buildings of various sectors: Government, universities, hotels, shopping centers, commercial, domestic and many others, in Beijing our fittings have been approved by relevant authorities and are used in various water supply projects for government buildings.
Brass compression fittings, brass copper solder ring fittings and brass/copper ends feed fittings can be used together with copper tube BS EN 1057 or with stainless steel tube BS EN 10312 (BS 4127 ).All male and female iron ends are screwed BSP parallel threads. Brass MI × FI fittings with male and female iron ends are screwed BSP parallel threads and taper threads fittings are also available upon request, push-fit fittings enable fast, efficient and reliable jointing of copper tube. Apart from standard brass alloy, dezincification resistant (DZR) brass alloy is also available for brass fittings. Furthermore we are developed tin bronze product series which could meet the world highest quality.
Fittings are tested by Nutek Systems Limited, a laboratory approved by the Hong Kong special Administration Region (HKSAR) government, to ensure quality standard of fittings .fittings are also approved by Hong Kong Water Authority for water supply projects. Our company is approved by the Hong Kong Housing Authority for fittings supply.
We invested and set up our own factory, Yutai Pipe Fittings Co.Ltd., in1990 and have been manufacturing and supplying brass and copper fittings since then. Application of DZR brass fittings in fresh and seawater water supply systems
Copper and zinc, among other minor components such as lead, iron, nickel, aluminum and manganese, are the major components of brass alloy. De-alloying corrosion, known as “dezincification”, selectively removes zinc from the alloy, leaving behind a porous, copper-rich structure that has little mechanical strength. An in-service fitting or valve suffering from dezincification has a white powdery substance or mineral stains on its exterior surface.
Zinc is a highly reactive metal, this reactivity stems form the fact that zinc has a very weak atomic bond relative to other metals, Zinc atoms are easily given up to solutions with certain aggressive characteristics. During dezincification, the more active zinc is selectively removed from the brass, leaving behind a weak deposit of the porous, more noble copper-rich metal, The solution to this problem is DZR brass alloy. DZR brass alloy contains certain amount of arsenic, which is used as inhibiting agent. To minimize dezincification damage.
Among all the standards, DIN EN 12165: 1998 <Copper and copper alloys-Wrought and unwrought forging stock> clearly states that the maximum tolerated depth of dezincification for Class A is 200µm, and for class B is between 200 to 400µm.
DZR brass fittings are manufactured according to DIN EN 12165 :1998-CW602N standard .The dezincification test applied in our fittings is according to the procedures stated in ISO 6509 : 1981 <<Corrosion of metals and alloys-Determination of dezincification resistance of brass >> .After repeated rigorous tests, the depth of dezincification for DZR brass alloy is now controlled under 50µm. As a result, the life span of our DZR brass alloy fittings is significantly lengthened; Our DZR brass fittings have already been used in freshwater water supply systems in Europe, Australia and China.
In Hong Kong, seawater is used in most of the flushing systems and the material used in those systems is usually gunmetal. Gunmetal contains significant amount of lead and is not hard enough for producing threaded ends, These are the reasons why gunmetal is not suitable for freshwater water supply system, Our DZR brass alloy contains less lead than gunmetal. It is also harder than gunmetal and normal brass alloy, With its dezincification resistant characteristic. Our DZR brass alloy is more suitable for fresh and seawater water supply systems than normal brass alloy and gunmetal.

TIN BRONZE FITTING
Tin bronze is a mental alloy consisting primarily of copper, usually with tin as the main additive.
Tin bronze have a better mechanical properties and casting performance, better corrosiveness resistance, strong wear and abrasion resistance in the atmosphere, water, fresh water and steam ,widely used in steam boilers and parts of ships . It also have diamagnetism and cold temperature flexibility and low sensitivity to superheat and gas so it will be good welding and brazing ,the impact is not producing sparks.
Tin bronze have a range of crystallization temperature and a bad flow ability, it not easy to form concentration blowhole but easy to form a dendritic segregation and dispersed contraction blowhole, the rate of contraction for tin bronze Casting is smallest in non-ferrous metal alloys, can be used to produce complex shapes ,contours clear and hermetic modest casting fittings.
Our Lancen tin bronze fittings are manufactured by continuous casting and investment Casting and in accordance with ENCC491k standard, our Lancen bronze tin fittings must passing the pressure test before they are supplied to customer so that to ensure all of our tin bronze fittings supplied are of top quality and standard.
